Case
3: Active IP and Web Super Connect Users
A
certain foreign chain store's head quarters wish to access
store statistics instantly and record all monitored images
for reference.
|
| This
is what they have now: |
| |
1. |
Each
store has its PC Base POS system |
| |
2. |
Head
quarters already have ISP connection. |
| |
3. |
Each
store has telephone line and modem. |
| |
4. |
Head
quarters want to be able to access each store within the company's
homepage, by clicking on each store's icon. They want instant
access to monitor images, and instant customer statistics. |
| Proposed
Solution: |
| |
1. |
Obtain
Internet access with a selected ISP. |
| |
2. |
Install
e-Lar monitor camera and activate surveillance motion(this function
has been changed to calculated number) |
| |
3. |
Head
quarters can upload each store's icon into their homepage. |
| |
4. |
Use
the display active surveillance IP function to automatically
connect each IP address to the HQ's homepage. |
| Reason
for Proposal: |
| |
1. |
Since
some stores are located where ADSL connection is not available
and very expensive, they need to network through an ISP. IP
address in this case is randomly selected (e-Lar provides active
IP auto update function so there is no complications) |
| |
2. |
Head
quarters already have ISP connection. Using icons to represent
each chain store allows easy access without complicated memorizations. |
| |
3. |
This
particular system has both monitoring and statistical analysis
functions. |
| |
4. |
No
need to purchase additional PC or network equipments. |
| Implementation: |
For
each store: Set the monitoring system to auto execute recording,
network connecting, and minimized functions, then connect to
ISP and start the system.
For head quarters: Use existing browser to access homepage,
then click on each store's icon to access monitor image and
statistical numbers. |
