Case 7: Local & Remote Surveillance/Recording + Internet Access System

User Demands: 

 *Home/Garage Security, with remote access/control monitoring needs via Internet.

*SOHO Security, with remote access/control monitoring needs via

Internet.

Example:

     PC Chain is a PC reselling company with 10 branches distributed in different states. If they adopt the Dial-Up long distance modem to modem connection solution will cost a lot of money, but if they adopt the Internet connection solution then will save a lot. Therefore PC Chain want that all the branches use Internet connection method so the headquarter can supervise the operation situation of every branch through Internet Browser anywhere anytime.

 

Our Suggestion: 

 Install e-Lar SME Security Host System

 

Descriptions:

There are 3 different IP ranges:

Fixed IP( Static IP ): The IP address is Unique. Can be connected 

   anywhere around the world, but the numbers of  Fixed IP address is limited, 

   so if to adopt this Fixed IP solution will have to pay a lot more fees per 

   month.Some general SOHO, Home, or medium-sized Chain Store will not 

   to afford it.

Dynamic IP: Most dial up Internet/ Cable modem/ ADSL can provide this

    IP type. Users connect to Internet by this way can not get a fixed IP

    address but different IP address instead. By this way, users can save a lot 

    of money to pay the service fee per month, but the disadvantage is that 

    users can not recognize the current connected IP address in time when they 

    are outside.

Virtual IP: This IP type is mainly used in Intranet. Most of companies apply 

    a line with Dynamic IP connection and provide to the users in LAN so to 

    save the number of IP address and save the money per month. Each PC in 

    LAN get a virtual IP address which means the IP can be recognized in

    LAN. However can’t reached from outside.

   

e-Lar SME can provide solutions to the above 3 types of IP.

For Fixed IP( Static IP ): Simply record the IP address and then can be

    watched through Browser anywhere remotely.

For Dynamic IP: e-Lar CCC can provide the service to the dynamic IP 

    For any IP type , as long as they connect to e-Lar CCC. e-Lar CCC 

    server can instantly transform it to a fixed URL. Anytime users want to 

    watch the video pictures, they can simply use this fixed URL then can 

    browse the pictures through Internet. ie: User can simply type in

    “ http://www.chimat.com.tw/ipservice/trisak.html” on the IE browser URL

    line. (trisak is the Host Name of e-Lar SME )

For Virtual IP: Generally can use a NAT (Network Address Translation) IP

    sharing device, and use the appointed IP port number assigned to the e-Lar

    SME virtual IP. ie: If a e-Lar SME with IP at 192.168.0.10: 8888 ( 8888 

     is the port number ). You can set the port number 8888 assigned to

    192.168.0.10 in the IP Sharing Device. Then the setting is simply finished.

     If you go on to Internet through Dynamic IP, samely, you can use the e-

     Lar CCC IP service feature as well, users can simply type in the fixed URL

     name in IE Browser, eg: “ http://www.chimat.com.tw/ipservice/trisak.html

     then you can watch the e-Lar SME Video Host Server’s images

     which is a Virtual IP based, anywhere anytime.

 

So we suggest that there are 2 solutions to meet PC Chain company’s needs in IP issue.

 

(a)Every branch with a dynamic IP, then apply the IP service from Chimat or

     e-Lar local distributors and get the registered names. Eg: PcChain1, PcChain

     …, PcChain8.  Therefore the management people do not need to remember

     every branch’s IP address. Just simply type “ http

     //www.chimat.com.tw/ipservice/PcChain1.html  in the Browser then the

     PcChain1 location’s images can be watched and monitored through Internet.

     Type “http://www.chimat.com.tw/ipservice/PcChain8.html “ then can watch

     the image of PcChain8 location as well.

(b) Apply a fixed IP, eg: 210.64.109.93 in one of the branch and the others are with dynamic IP. Then the e-Lar SME can integrate all of them into a Group Surveillance Network. Use the fixed IP to be all of the branch’s Video Portal Site, the management people can only type in this fixed IP address in the Browser. ( eg: Try the real site http://210.64.109.93:8888 ) then can watch the images of every connected branch.

 

When every branch’s Internet equipment is well setup. The management people can watch the real time image of every branch at Home, at the Company, Anywhere Anytime through IE Browser. If necessary, can snapshot any images and save to disk.

 

Also, because e-Lar SME has already built-in HTTP Server function, PC Chain Company can add a link on its company’s website called “Live Demo “ and link to e-Lar SME, so the visitors can browse every branch’s image through company’s web site.

 

 

e-Lar SME can also provide 3 level’s Access Control to the visitors through Internet Browser.

 

a) For Supervisor level: Can change, update the inner settings through Browser,

    knowing the connecting condition of every Visitor like On-Line or Off-Line,

    IP address etc. Investigate and switch to every location’s recorded films and

    can watch 4 different location’s real-time image.

b) For Normal level: Can watch the real-time Video image and investigate to

     watch the recorded films.

c) For Guest level: Can only watch the real-time Video image.

 

Though e-Lar SME is an entry level of e-Lar family products, yet can already provide the users a lot of unique functions.

 

 

In this case, e-Lar SME also provide: special features for internet/intranet access.

 

1. Multi level access account management with time limit

2. View up to 4 different SME Video Host Server from same browser.

3. Browser playback the recorded films, get snapshot, Zoom in/Zoom out images,

     view up to 16 cameras, by sequence or single camera.

4.  Dynamically change Video Display quality & frame size.

5.  View all Browser connected users and remotely manage all major Security

      Host Server parameters.

6.  Single Video file upload that dramatically reduces e-Lar network bandwidth

      requirement by up to 16 times than others, Video Server CPU resources by
