CCC (Command Centre Console)
The "world's first" remote CCTV video surveillance product
that supports the remote monitoring and management of up to hundreds
of distributed IP networked e-Lar Video Host Servers.

any IP network connection.

Designed for the Small Medium Enterprise/SOHO/HOME market. It's
an entry level of e-Lar DVR system supporting Dial-In and Browser
remote surveillance. Unable to be integrated with e-Lar CCC.

CCTV
Closed Circuit TeleVision system intended for only a limited number
of viewers, as opposed to broadcast TV. A CCTV Camera is a unit
containing an imaging
device that produces a video signal in the basic bandwidth.
CCD(
Charge-Coupled Device )
The new age imaging device, replacing the old tubes. When first
invented
in the 1970's, it was initially intended to be used as a memory
device.
Most often used in cameras, but also in telecine, fax machines,
scanners,
etc.
VCC(
Video Capture Card )
Computer cards that you can install on the motherboard of your own
computer to create your own video recording computer.

Watchdog
It's a Hardware timer circuit protection. If problems are detected
in the DVR computer the system will automatically reboot to correct
the problem.
DVR(
Digital Video Recorder )
A digital video recorder is a computerized system that records video
pictures digitally on a hard disk drive (HDD). Since these systems
are computer based, they provide dynamic features such as remote
monitoring, recording, and alert, allowing you to control your surveillance
system from anywhere, anytime.
VCR(
Video Cassette Recorder )
Traditional analog electronic device for recording and playing back
video images and sound on a videocassette.
HOST
Any computer on a network that offers services or connectivity to
other computers on the network. A host has an IP address associated
with it.
Digital
CCTV System
CCTV systems are just lately coming into the digital age. Most security
cameras are still analog. There are some digital cameras available
but they are extremely expensive. Where digital technology is really
making ground in CCTV is with digital video recorders (or DVRs).
Any CCTV system that includes a DVR is considered a digital system.
Time-lapse
VCR
A VCR that can be set to slow down its recording rate in order to
extend the length of time that can be recorded on a standard tape
up to as much as 960 hours. This is possible by recording one frame
at time at set time intervals. Most units have an alarm input signal
so it can be automatically switched to real time mode in case of
an alarm.
